Rewarding yourself and others too

by Aloy Chua

I love credit cards, not simply because it offers a convenient way to pay for purchases (especially online), but also because of their rewards programs. As such, I’m very discerning about the cards I choose and have – mostly miles-related, but also perks such as lounge access (but I digress).

Credit cards probably have among the most prolific programs out there, but traditional rewards programs have much appeal as well. Starbucks, for instance, has gained somewhat of a cult following – in fact, I read a tongue-in-cheek article recently that they have become as powerful a “financial institution” as big banks, if not more. I always beat myself up for forgetting my Robinsons Rewards cards whenever I go to any of their supermarkets, which seems to be the most common one I go to these days. The point is, they are meant to make you loyal customers, and it does work.

Here at the Roots Collective, too, we want to make your experience with us even more rewarding – and so, we’re very excited to bring you our brand-new loyalty program, Roots Rewards!

You earn 5 points per peso you spend on a purchase. Furthermore, several one-off actions can also earn you points, such as signing up for an account, following our social media accounts, and sharing about us on Facebook.

When you’ve got enough points, you can redeem them for product discounts to the value of one centavo per point, or get coupons worth the same for a more convenient redemption!

You also earn for referring a friend – and they automatically get points, as well, so it’s a win-win situation for both of you!

Our dream, more than anything, is to build a society of genuine inclusivity and development, and to see social enterprises achieve market leadership. And we’re with you every step of the way to ensure your experience in supporting local and social is rewarding in every way for you, and others too!
